The Exile Experience at MDC Special Collections invites you to attend Exile Today, a program that reflects on the unique cultural impact of Miami’s exile community. Curated by prolific Cuban author, speaker, and intellectual Carlos Alberto Montaner, Exile Today‘sfirst renditions investigate the Cuban experience in the United States.
To launch the series, Montaner will invite Jorge Pérez, developer and CEO of The Related Group; Pedro Portal, photojournalist and Miami Herald correspondent; and Raúl L. Rodríguez , founding principal of architecture firm Rodriguez and Quiroga to discuss Miami’s evolution into a global city. The discussion will take a close look at its architecture while examining the pace of real estate and cultural development in the city.
